Thunder from zero to your first download
A short path through initial setup and your first safe download.
Thunder brings media download, processing, and playback together. You only need three steps to get started.
1. Choose the official installer
The download page automatically suggests Windows or macOS. On Mac, choose Apple silicon or Intel. Every download link points directly to the official GitHub Release.
2. Prepare the tools
After first launch, open the tool manager. Install yt-dlp, FFmpeg/ffprobe, and Deno. Thunder shows an overall status and lets you update each component independently.
3. Add a link
Paste a URL into Downloader, wait for the preview, and choose your output. Ready-to-play video or MP3 covers most workflows. Detailed choices show codec, resolution, FPS, and estimated size.
Start immediately or leave the task in the queue. The finished file appears in your chosen folder and the operation stays in History.
